Aussie birds for Meg 🪶 Mostly healed except for a rework of the female gang-gang

I want to take a moment and thank Meg so much for her trust and kindness with me. Admittedly, I made my first big mistake on this piece and used the wrong colour on the female bird. I can’t imagine the feeling Meg had upon realising this and then being brave enough to tell me about it.
I was mortified. I couldn’t believe I had made such a mistake. As a tattoo artist, I put a lot of pressure on myself to make sure every piece is perfect. I even began questioning my whole career, how could I have done this? Am I still cut out to do this? What if I make another mistake? I should just quit before it happens again.
But in the end, I am only human. We will all make mistakes, what matters is how we handle them and thankfully this one was repairable. The fact that I care so much about it shows I love what I do and I can only learn and grow from this.

I wasn’t sure whether to share this, but I think it’s important to be real and honest. Tattooing is a process that takes so much trust, and I’ll never stop being thankful to the clients who choose me ❤️

What a year it’s been! This is my seventh year r

What a year it’s been! This is my seventh year running my own business, and I couldn’t have done it without my incredible clients 🩷 Over the years, I’ve come to know so many of you, and I’m endlessly grateful that I get to make a living doing what I love.

That said, this year wasn’t without its challenges. I struggle with anxiety and depression, and some moments were incredibly dark 😞 I was in a relationship I didn’t realise was toxic until the couples counsellor we were seeing, helped me see the emotional abuse I was experiencing.

Looking back, I see it all as a learning experience. I’m happier and prouder of myself than I’ve been in a long time. I found the strength to walk away from people who didn’t value or respect me, and I’m doing things I never thought I could. Those experiences have shaped me into someone stronger.

I went on my first solo trip, where I drove for the first time in 12 years! It was terrifying, but it gave me the confidence to save up for my first car. Now, I have a rooftop tent installed and Im dreaming of travelling around Australia and exploring its incredible wildlife and nature. Solo camping is next on my list, and visiting the snow next winter is a must after I achieved a lifelong dream of skiing for the first time!

I know I can take care of me no matter what happens. So now I just do it scared anyways
